REXPHARM, a company specializing in the development and manufacturing of health functional foods, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with THE EROUN, which has developed a pharmacist recommendation platform for personalized health functional foods, to activate personalized pharmacy repackaging.
In addition, Park Young-Soon, Chairman of REXPHARM, has been appointed as co-CEO of THE EROUN, maximizing the capabilities of both companies.
THE EROUN is a company that develops systems to activate the repackaging of health functional foods, providing services such as consultations with dedicated health management pharmacists and recommendations for health functional foods at local pharmacies through an AI algorithm platform.
REXPHARM, founded in 2021 by Chairman Park Young-Soon—who also established the Onnuri Pharmacy Chain—specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of health functional foods and the extraction of Phellinus mycelium to enhance the immune function of humanity and promote the correct selection of health functional foods.
Through this MOU, the two companies plan to promote:
- Development and manufacturing of products tailored to individual health needs
- Establishment of a platform for activating the repackaging of health functional foods
- Supply of health functional foods at reasonable prices
- Provision of seminars and information on health functional foods.
Chairman Park Young-Soon stated, “In the future, REXPHARM and THE EROUN will work together to establish a system that enables pharmacists to recommend proper consumption and address issues related to health functional foods through consultations with consumers.”
Yang Bok-ryeol, CEO of THE EROUN, expressed confidence that the pharmacist consultation platform and algorithms (AI) at pharmacies will provide an opportunity for local pharmacies to get closer to consumers as their dedicated health management pharmacists.
